How much longer do you guys see this trend going?
The trend of using the term ‘colorways’ instead of just saying ‘colors’? Unfortunately, I think it’s here to stay.
Eh, it doesn’t hurt my feelings. Fuck it.
Speaking of not this at all:
When will I be able to buy a pair of Hplus’ with braking surfaces?
I need them for a wheel build I want to do for a road bike.

So when I make a bag that has 6 different colors on it, I should refer to it as a single color? Fuck that. Colorway is a legit term.

lol, is that what colorways mean? it is all starting to make sense now.
on viewing a nice masi, for example, i would prefer to comment “what a distinguished choice of palette” than “dank colourwayz bru!”
i like to keep it simple
“that shit look cool”

You could refer to it as the gay pride bag.
i was always under the impression that the colorway was something specific, like the stripe on a pair of pumas. hence, it would be something like a white shoe with a red colorway.
so in short, yes.

I think I need to see you use it in a sentence for me to understand what you are saying. Because if the option is between:
“This bag is in a colorway of red, green, blue and white” or
“This bag is red, green, blue and white”
Then I certainly know which one I prefer.

seriously. ‘Colorway’ probably came about as a result of shoe and t-shirt designers wanting to sound more important than they really are. I’m sure it has been a fashion industry term for a long time. Then people who wanted other people to think they were down with the industry started using it and it got popular. If you’ve got a bag that is mostly red with green, blue and white in it, then it’s a red bag with green blue and white. If they are all in equal proportion, then it doesn’t need a color specified to it. You could call it “colorway #1”, but then you could also call it “multicolor #1” and not sound pretentious.
I know I’m probably nobody’s prime market, but if I had to choose between two equally good products, I’d probably go for the one that was not advertised as a colorway.

When brakes become “hip”

sorry. this is some serious marketing fail here. I have been selling rims with machined side walls since the start. I promise a website in one months time!
The fact that i have been on this forum for a bit now and that you guys seem to be pretty in tune with everything that is going on just makes it funnier.
SL42(machined side wall version) comes in 3 color(way)s. Black, silver and white. Gold has been discontinued. I also offer lower spoke count drilling for the black sl42 in 24h and 28h.
Just out of curiousity could I get a set of un color(wayed)s hoops to give them my own color(way)

fuck, that’s my bag: blue flap, yellow sides, orange liner, red trim.
No sorry I don’t sell un colorwayed rims.
How is saying “colorway” any different than simply pluralizing “color”?
I think colorway is only jackass when the person saying “colorway” is wearing a flat brim cap or limited edition sneakers.
Otherwise, it’s a legitimate term.
