Word, nothing looks too amazing. I suppose by the number of posts this is old news for sure.

Good to see they have more steel road bikes. I’m gonna be in the market for one in some months so it’s nice a lot of companies are making them, gives me more options.

I really like the San Jose Pro (whatever the hell “pro” means), but WHY ARE THE CABLE GUIDES SO SHITTY?

I like this one, probably because it’s celeste.

wow, retail price of the flatbar pista: $819!
holy shit.

ESL/ Typo Alert

some of the lettering they’ve used on their logos this year is awful.

‘horizontal dropouts’ for aero properties! any takers? this thing is just begging for risers.

Did they finally drill the pista for a rear brake?
Not a day goes by that I don’t see some dumbass riding a freewheel pista with only a front brake.
Makes me angry.

TT/Tri bikes with horizontal dropouts have them so you have a slightly variable wheelbase. one super aggressive for Time Trials and one slightly less so for training.

lol…

think about how you would get a wheel on the frame.

i remember when i got my pista they were like 500. now theyre 749. crazy

makes sense, i really don’t know the first thing about tt/tri. the text on their site wasn’t really enough for me to work that out (not that i tried too hard).

/ that too.

yeah, and Dutret is also right on the mark. I’m thinking that my reason is a happy upshot that bike companies can market more easily than ‘we had to make it different because otherwise the wheel won’t fit.’

Have you ever heard market a bike that way?

Last year a couple of different brands (Felt comes to mind, maybe Kuota, maybe BMC) were using it in their sales pitches during meetings I had at Interbike.

Oh, i see, it’s so you can really cram the wheel into the seat tube’s slipstream. That makes sense.

I really like the San Jose Pro. A little pricey but fenders and disc tabs look nice.

the lugged steel bike is hot.

Stock flat bar track bikes never look quite right for some reason.
