asploded bike parts thread

Womp womp

noooooooo!!

the coolest bike on tarck that i forgot about completely.

Bummer dude.

Aww fuck, but that could be fixed and then just leave it raw up there and be a punk dude.

Yeah, my framebuildeur is gonna fix it and repaint it so he can put his new nom de fume on it. Same paint job, just without the stupid neon green this time. So just purple to black fade with splatter.

Well done here.

mosquito bit tire
may roll with a spare and see where this goes

Probably a weak spot in the casing from hitting something hard enough to cut a few threads. I assume tubeless? Did that in two spots on a babby shoe, successfully patched and retubelessed them before learning my lesson after a blown bead.

If you’re already running tubes, put a patch on the inside of the casing. Will reinforce that area and the bulge will likely be reduced.

Or just replace the tire.

Thats a “golly” from me…

Yowch, hope he’s ok. Took me a moment to realize it was a Lauf and not a fork that had split at the legs in addition to the steerer.

Another broken Lauf fork…

I want to buy Lauf forks just to keep them away from this race. Every goddamn year…

You’ve seen a few?

at least it wasn’t titanium http://www.xacd.com.cn/product.asp?rootcl=1&cls=12

every single one of those ever ridden off a smooth new MUP has cracked catastrophically

and I bet even some pampered ones have broken too

Seb Dunne broke one last year in the TDR while in 4th spot… or maybe the year before, Titanium fork anyway, not suit if it’s that model
