I think we’re on the same page frank. I totally get touring. Doing amazing things that resonate on a personal level. And I totally get making movies about it and being stoked if other people enjoy them. To (hypocritical) whit I made this (completely uneventful) video about last summer’s trip.
Like Kaido and Timarchy pointed out, I don’t like the hype/sponsorship aspect.
Regarding the soundtrack, though, I was mostly griping that getting original music to work is hard. And largely less rewarding than slapping on the latest hipster hit.
fair enough, I think the sponsorship is a little strange, but I feel like regardless of the means by which these guys get stoked, them being stoked is the noteworthy bit. and if they get sponsored and kids see the film and get stoked and go out and actually tour, on their own, unsupported, then I’m a happy camper.
The soundtrack does kind of sound like dick.
But it got kind of awkwardly bad by the end, especially the riding on the street sequences where she goes hella slow and doesn’t do anything interesting.
That’s it? Aside form the dumb bars spins, it looks like a commute home, curb hopping included. Oh wait, that was A Stair, not A Curb. Wow. I really and truly hate this girl. So vain.
