does that guy have to link to the post about this sweet new touring bike everytime he mentions his sweet new touring bike in one of his post?

totally have seen this person taking some of these pictures. always try to get in/ruin them, but apparently i have not succeeded

Do events and possessions in your life really exist without blog posts to reify them?

Think about it.

I dunno, but I think I get what he’s coming from. It’s like ā€œOH MAN THIS WOMAN RIDES A BIKE, JUST LIKE US GUYS! I BET ME AND HER COULD TALK ABOUT BIKES FOR HOURS ON END BECAUSE WE HAVE THAT IN COMMONā€ and it’s comes off as putting them on a pedestal for doing a normal every day thing.

Rixen Kaul

I am sick and tired of dealers who do not supply my products amicably. From now on I will only buy products from bicycle riding ā€œMarias.ā€

fuck that the only bike bags i will use from now on are ones i fashion myself from roadkill

To bring up the topic from last week…

I think I’m Lovelybicycle’s target audience. I’m a woman, and I’m (more or less) new to cycling as an adult. I’ve been looking for blogs that will be informative and relatable. Sadly, LB doesn’t do it for me. I took a look at the blog, and clicked on the ā€œFixed Gear As Skill Builderā€ entry, which sounded up my alley. However, I stopped reading about 5 sentences in, right after this:

Seriously? Just because I am a woman and still new at cycling doesn’t mean you have to write for me as if I was recently lobotomized! Maybe some people enjoy this kind of thing, but I cannot deal. Fucking yikes.

lulz
MISO GYNY

tbh this has been mostly my reaction to randonneuring too.
I mean the bikes are pretty, and the luggage is pretty, but fuck riding 600k in the rain over 2 days on 2 1/2 hours of sleep. my uncle does ultramarathons; that shit is masochistic craziness. he has a fucking tackle box on wheels full of balms for when your nipples fall off and shit.

sounds like she found the zen.
