bonktown DAMN YOU!!!

feel free to post things good things that QBP is blowing out in this thread. I would have gotten ahold of those for that price. It looks like they’re $300+ everywhere on the interwebs now.

My LBS will get me whatever at a generous (to me) markup, if I come in and just tell them to add x to the order.

steepandcheap is doing $1 specials, or something. according to girlfriend. there was a $1 timbuk2 mess earlier today…

I just got some skis off of tramdock that I didn’t really need.

I saw this with some women’s Marmot sweatshirt. I was ready to buy one to eBay (anything Marmot is worth more than $1, right?), but it was gone before I could pull the trigger.

apparently you need either to work at backcountryoutlet or know some sweet scripting in order to actually buy one of their $1 specials

Carbon Reynolds track wheelset.
Perfect for that sick Schwinn Varsity fix gear conversion, the Reynolds Recon Track Wheelset will round out your build with speed and impeccable style. Seriously man, with all the money earned from selling off Simplex derailleurs and Weinmann brakes there’s no reason to skimp out on the spinners. But, on the other hand, if you’re into Velodrome racing the Recon could also lay down some fast pursuit times, and drop the competition during a sprint.

* Lightweight and aerodynamic carbon rim for lighting fast acceleration
* Bolt on 15mm axle so you can finally use that sweet bottle opener/wrench combo
* Rim Strips, valve extensions, tire levers, and spoke wrench included for ease of installation

this northwave shoe seems perfect for me to try out clipless with.

but agh no monies for this now.

Cutter tubes are back in sets of four… though for more than I remembered last time? I was upset but the 10 tubes I just bought from Price Point are actually cheaper.

4k for a DA Ti bike is a screaming deal?

nobody wanted my year old mostly unused lynskey r320 with full Red for 2500 last feb…

Timbuk2 classics up now. XS to XL, all $32.99.

do the cutter tubes have removable cores?
Even though I’m reasonably broke, I was tempted by the forbidden fruit and bought two pairs of the bars I mentioned in the first post, for $60 per pair. Initially I scoffed at them, and I swore up and down that I’d never ride carbon bars, but now I’m looking to save some weight on my heavy-ass steel CX bike, so I took the plunge. The other pair are probably bound for eBay, since they seem to fetch ~$100 new.

Also carbon classic bend bars in 26 are totally PRO.
Still got that 2nd set, or anyone else for that matter?

I do have them, but I love these bars so much I’m going to keep them. If I could find an allow bar with the same shape, I’d be all over it, but these bars have the perfect flat ramp to classic curve that I’ve been searching for for years.

Too bad I avoided this thread for so long. I’m no good with impulse buys (i get the crap and pass on the stuff i end up needing).

edit: 75mm reach, 130mm drop sounds perfect to me. Never imagine I’d go for crabon bars, but I found a pair on eBay for $90 incl. shipping. Maybe. Not that much more than noodles.

…damn you, nudl crew.

Dude, they regularly go for like $30-60 on eBay, new or “gently used.” I’ve considered buying more pairs for reserves, since Easton discontinued the bars, but I’m not that rich nor deep into bike nerdery.

I think $30 is pretty hopeful, but I’ll keep an eye out and forget about this auction. thanks

i love bonechilling’s sudden constant use of PRO

It’s not sudden. It dates back to the days when Belgian Knee Warmers was still being updated. That’s where I was schooled in the matter of what is and is not PRO.

Flypaper legs FTW.

Noodles.
