I didn’t trust carbon till I tried to break a previously cracked carbon fork. We jumped on it to bend the legs, hit it on the ground, hit it with hammers. We finally taped it to a wall and hit it with a 3’ iron pipe. Still didn’t fail catastorphically. It just finished breaking the leg with the crack on it.
