I don’t give a fuck what worked for you, it’s goddamned stupid advice to give. Take the gears you need. Your notion that pulling a taller gear ratio means more power is misconceived. At best, a suboptimal cadence is less efficient at worst, it’s harmful to the knees.

You are reading way too much into it. I never told anyone what they should use. Everyone has their preference.
