Can’t believe I only 3 bikes in 2013. The other two:
Curious to see how the Nite Moves from Endpoint is going to work on this front.
I’m an interesting test case for it, as I’m a goddamn giant, so if the frame is too flexy and thus crack-prone, my 215lbs plus gear will quickly discover it.
isn’t there a problem with repeated flexing of aluminum causing fatigue and then failure? 00s lightweight mtbs had some issues I recall
It’s a potentially awesome idea, we were vicariously product managing Braden about it a while back.
Here’s another bike from 2013. I probably put less than 200 miles on this bike before I sold it.

Check out that pre-narrow-wide chain watcher thing!
I figured as much. I’m not really interested but I’ve always been curious what that actually felt like. Especially when most folks I encounter on something bikes direct type stuff love to evangelize them because it “was such a good deal and I did so much better than what the bike shop wanted.” I figured that wasn’t Chazz
2013 bikes
karate monkey with parts from marin nail trail. regret selling
soma smoothie. later put these parts on a spooky
stock cannonale caadx. got on ep price and then sold
raleigh technium that was abandoned at the bike shop and i made it a single speed
bought from a coworker at bike shop put an old duke fork on it. surprisingly fun
i wanted to like it so much but did not like riding it at all
found this pic from 2013 from when i was riding by myself on a trail and this herd of beagles approached me with no human in sight. they just kept going. still a mystery
Igor does this reluctance to wiggle extend even to using non-os 9-6-9 tubing?
Folx understand that the medium grade alloy road bikes are fine to ride, unlike the ones of the turn of the century which were all OS as fuck.
2011 was kinda rad:
(still owned, minus the SW8 NJS combo…)
(still ride that Record group!)
The Jan Janssen then morphed into this peak road thing.
does anyone currently own a spooky (mayb a purp one), they’re so coool and i’ve always wanted one
@ergott did/does?
At the time that model was $1500 with 10s Apex (which to this day felt better than the Force I later bought). I knew the score about straight gauge, etc, but fat tire road wasn’t really a thing then and cheap steel was the same-ish price. Now it’s not worth it, but I’d still take that bike over a Roubaix or Synapse of the same vintage.
Loving that Janssen
Friend in Melb has a green one like the above, with rivnutted cage mounts. probably your size too. Can always check if it’s potentially available if you’re keen.

I think this was 2013 bikes for me
Wow, I realize looking through fb that I had this trek back in 07! That’s a long time for me and a bike.
Guess I got rid of the Kelly by then. Really liked the Kelly; would have liked it more if it were bigger or I knew more about fit at the time.
2013’ s.
Karate Monkey at Single Speed nats in Rotorua.
An early start at Waikaremoana to hit the gravel enroute to Murupara.
The nice person in the background seems to be praying for your eternal soul after seeing that Surly.
Yes, she noticed I was running a 3 inch Knard on a 19mm wide rim.
