Some good tips here:

I do have a Starling Swoop, like this:
Then I happen to own a Stanton also…
Other makers who does fs steel frames that doesn’t suck are: Stanton, Swarf, Moxie, Cotic, BTR.
Why are all these uk builders? No one in the states cares about steel?
Pretty much yeah.
You have hard tails being built in steel by Norco, Kona, Chromag and others but there’s no one in the US/NA that makes fs steel bikes. You do have Marino who does custom stuff on the “cheap” down in Peru. They do cool stuff, custom geo and at fair prices! There’s plenty of them here in Sweden and they are legit
Steel isn’t real when it comes to full squish, apparently.
There’s also doug Curtiss/curtlo
Lenz does full squish single speeds, but aluminum
Kona did a cowan fs that had a bb pivot as well for single speeding
I don’t know anything about MTBs, but this is a damn good looking bike.
Can you post photos of what I assume is your house?
Those concentric BB single speed full sus bikes are going to climb like dumpy ass.
I’ve seen a fs Marino in person and it was quite nice.
Yeah, softails always made more sense to me for single gear shenanigans.
That’s why they’re all park/freeride bikes.
Just took it for a quick spin around the ‘hood. Rides exactly like a bicycle that’s built to my preferences.
I had these NOS cranks lying around and they were the easiest thing to slap on the bike since they had chainrings and I had a BB that fit them on hand. Never tried Q rings before, I can honestly say I didn’t notice their presence at all. Am I one of those people now?
Yes, sorry.
What size is the frame?
58 ETT, I’m 6’2. Looks smaller than it is because fat tubes I guess.
74* parallel, which is my preference. Everything else is pretty normal geometry wise.
Neat. Big bikes look a little strange to me. Explains all the saddle-to-bar drop.
yeah I just had to dig out the build thread for this majestic machine
Are those tubulars???
