On steel fullies again, these are not uncommon over here. Production Privee.
That’s one of my favorite bikes on here.
Update on this:
- Shimano brakes
- New saddle (Bontrager Verse)
- -2* angleset and 100mm squishy fork. So now it’s a weird super slack (64.5 static by my calculations) and also very short travel bike. I’m not sure if it makes sense but it feels good and goes downhill fast so I’m happy with it
- SON dynamo wheelset with K-Lite MTB light. This is amazing and totally worth the watt theft. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long.
Still chill on manually lowering saddle but I’ll be ordering a dropper one day when things come back in stock.
Kitted out with the bare essentials for some ~~bikepacking~~
All cleaned up. Please forgive the gross bar ends, my hands love them.

I (L) what Kelly at k-lite is doing with his printer farm. Tell me what it feels like?
That’s a pretty great bike. Good job.
This gearing is really low, right?
Yeah, I spend a lot of time in the 11t cog… I might bump the chainring from 38t to 42t, since I only use my low gears when I’m doing serious technical climbing. I’ll have to move the ring to the outside of the spider, which has chainline implications, but will solve the problem of the chain lightly rubbing the tire in the lowest gear.
Kerry is injection moulding them now, I think. Still prints other bits. That looks like one of the moulded ones.
Did you get the gravel or mtb light? For the first time, last friday I was wishing that I had the mtb, with its wider spread. We werent using any supplemental lighting though and it was wet rooty single track.
Right, sorry wasnt clear, I’m looking at that little dongle clamp it’s mounted with.
Thats real nice
needs those cork grips
I dither too much to commit to grips that nice.
That’s a real handsome bicycle.
that’s a cool way to make a small MTB with giant wheels have a longer front-center
This one is the mtb. Spread is nice and wide though I still like to have a small exposure-style supplementary headlight just because the extra vision makes a big difference when going through very twisty/tech stuff, especially at low speed .
Yeah it came with a nice assortment of 3D printed mounts to fit most standard configurations (gopro, regular dynamo). The clamp I’ve got on at the moment puts the light around 7cm forward of the bars which is v handy for clearing handlebar bags and not blinding me when I faux aero tuck/get low.
Yep, front-center increased from 722 to around 750 with no other compromises in geo/fit. Even bar height is more or less the same once sagged. Feels good.
Hells yeah mang.
congrats I think you diy’d a “downcountry” bike?
