I finally got this back together

ShartQ: This is circa 2016-7 XTR. If I wanted to switch this to XX1 Eagle AXS does that mean I have to fuck with the hub too–is it a different standard? Also on XX1 are the shifters and brake levers separate, allowing me to keep the brakes? I know exactly zero about MTB groups

The reason I want to switch is that I want the bars slammed, it’s not super comfortable the way it is. The problem is that there’s a DI2 battery in the head tube. Seemed like a good idea at the time and now I regret it.

16/17 xtr is standard hg freehub. you’d need xd.

afaik shifters and levers are separate, but there are differing ways to mount this shifter to that brake lever. are you keeping the xtr brakes? also i love that there is xt trail and xt race, then xtr trail and race. xtr was xt ā€œracingā€

Look closely at how the fork is set up, I could move 2 spacers above but I couldn’t cut that because the battery is inside, so I’d end up with a giant stack of spacers above the bars
