Let’s hit up Palos sometime, it’s the closest I think even though it’s on the far other end of the world.
Dammit, why did I sell that bag.
I have no idea, but I love it!
I think I’m pretty happy.
This load is a double camp chair I rode home from REI. It was a little heavier and bigger than I thought. The rack and basket were definitely flexy and I don’t think I should put more than ~10lb in it in the current set up. But that’s fine with me.
Edit: I forgot that I hate the bars. Ritchey Kyote bars. I can’t get comfortable on them despite three bikes and three different setups. I think this bike is going to get something with a bigger rise and a more moderate sweep.
hooks us the print files?!

thank you for your service
@Timarchylime what is this chairpole situation?
Answer Seatpost Extender with a shim.
The 27.2 post in the top was too long and I had to trim it. Now I’m wondering if I should leave it just short enough for me or trim it more so I can lower it for other folks. Can’t go any lower as it is.
Why won’t those cowards make the 30.9 extender the market (me!) want?
Ahhh well I’ll have to stick with the custom seatpost I’m getting made. Cargo bike with enve clamp head? Why not
I sent a message to a frame builder about a custom seatpost. On his site he said he could do a Ti post in 30.9 for under $200. He never got back to me.
I think the total for this with the extender, shim and 27.2 post (because somehow I don’t have one in a bin somewhere?!?) was about $100.
@EndpointBraden pointed me to a local guy who had a solid plan for getting it done. $-50 for a huge, strong seatpost. If it materializes it will solve my main gripe with my big cargo bike.
I’m really hoping this is the solution for me. The only possible drawback is that, while there is tons of post in the frame (almost the same as the silver part that’s sticking out), the shim is only 100mm. That goes down to the middle of the top tube. I think the gusset/reinforcement above the TT will be all the support I need. If not, I’ll be getting a neutrino to replace this.
I had to mess with my Kyotes to get them to feel right. As with the Jones H-bar, they seem to like to be angled down toward the TT just a bit.
Good tip. Will try
Put the best drop bars ever, ritchey evo max, on the sweet fixie. Not sold on the drops yet. Put a specialized baby saddle on the road bike from @anon71759125.

Dropped the boy child at a party today and had a couple of hours to kill. Cruised around on some river paths, checked out a new path network and light rail that’s opening soon and sat by the river with pastry and coffee for a while. The Yuba always gets lots of comments from passers by.
Wouldn’t be very tricky to find a machine shop who could lathe you a tube that would fit your frame on the bottom and a carbon mast topper on the high side
