Dammit: Post your bike

I’ve got the venturemax xl and it feels ridiculous. The tops are flattened to give a better grip there, but aero bars should fit on the round section near the stem. Would be a major oversight if they didn’t.

Just got some of the whiskey 24 degree flare bars in 46 and hoping I like them more.

Yeah, I think mine must have been gen 1 or something. (just 44’s). The fat bit near the stem is quite short, would be real lucky to have room for aeros. The rest is traditional round tube !

I like the Beacons but am not in love with the “mustache” look of them. Also not in love with the semi-ergo look of the Venturemax. I think a Whiskey is out of my pay grade. Will take a look tho. I think 24 might be the magic number.

For reference, venturemax is a 24 deg flare too (sorry to tarcksplain if you already knew that)

Yeah, it looks so much more normal than the Beacon at 36 or something.

Added a headlamp adapter and a fresh back tire.

Yeah they do be lookin pretty wacky but all the positions just feel good! I may also check out those Whiskys because I’m a ditherer at heart and 24 degrees is still a lot of flare. Looks like the drops are a bit rounder/closer to the levers too. They have a reasonably priced alloy version.

Interesting that your VentureMaxes are much lighter. Are they both WCS? VMs carbon?

I think we’ve discussed this already, but these are my favorite too.

The closest I found when setting up my Strael was the 2020 Ritchey Butano, which seems close with maybe slightly less drop…but since then they’ve increased the flare to almost 20 deg in the current version. :colbert:

Long live the cargo Merckx!

The Blaupunkt sticker is :chefkiss:

I’m reading that as anrii, just fyi

Also that thing rules. Does it fold enough to get on public transit without getting yelled at? I might need something like it soon.

Folds down small enough for TSA and storage compartments under RV. 45 lbs with all the motor and batteries and ebike bits. Diecast magnesium frame so the tolerances are spot on for the hinge.

1999 retail but can hook you up with a steep discount for friends and family.
