I’m kinda shocked by how nice this bike fits/rides. I dunno if anyone else here has ridden a Wolverine, but I highly recommend it. My original one rode really nice and so does this one. Thanks to @EndpointBraden for giving me a pair of DT endcaps and thus saving me from fixed gear cycling. It’s fun but riding fixed makes me all aggressive and I can’t be fuckin around like that anymore. I’m looking forward to a nice mellow commute tomorrow.

are the breaky dropouts fixed?

I hope so! These ones are similar but different than my old one which broke not near the dropouts but on the underside of both chainstays right at the dimple.

I’m still riding a v2 with the breaky dorpouts, fingers crossed. Slammed those sliders all the way forward to forestall the inevitable. It’s comfy! I mostly only tour on it though

I haven’t ridden a Wolverine, but my Doublecross Disc with fixed QR dropouts has been going strong for a long time. Rides great with 650x48. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as a great bike, but it has been a great bike.

Where is your belt drive split. Mine was the dropout itself. It opened like a sandwich. It’s the only split drop out i’ve seen like that even on other Wolverines of the same generation. I got five solid years of daily use out of it before it broke so I ain’t too mad.

Here’s my old one.

And the cracks:

It’s final form. RIP

one of the fuckiest saddle angles I’ve laid eyes on

fighter jet taking off on a short runway-ass saddle angle

I was just thinking about raising the saddle a cm or two and tipping the nose down a touch. Not much though, that saddle is the one where I took Sheldon’s advice and soaked it in baseball glove oil so it’s super soft and hammocky so it requires a significant tilt.

First ride on this since converting it back to drop bars and my first ride on any drop bar bike since like April or May of 2021. It rides so nice.

What’s your weird excuse for the saddle angle on this one?
