@BEEutiful_Wednesday_DDS i like that! Is that Tryon Park?
according to the scale of the guy who sold it to me it’s already under 20 pounds. i think the biggest surprise are the wheels. the acceleration is kind of insane. on my favorite trail the gearing is just perfect so it’s a blast. also the whole reason i bought it was to have more fun riding with my son and mission accomplished, we had our best ride ever.
i already took the stupid fork stickers off.
don’t tempt me. i do think i’ll be keeping the SID on though, i managed to use about 90mm of travel today.
no, this is Dryer Rd which is far superior in basically all ways.
finished this yesterday. my partner (a much better mechanic than I) helped me build it up and did all the brazing. I went into this with a goal budget of $200, and got close. $5 on the complete bike initially, and then the rest on the other parts (plus my roommate generously shared his parts bin with me)
That rear cable housing ROUTING is really clever
Was the 3 speed setup a planned goal or an outcome of the process?
I didn’t even notice that! Awesome!
that bike is hard
the 3 speed was intentional. I used to have a GT set up 3x1 and really enjoyed it, plus with the triple triangle it just feels right.
i’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to my partner. they were pretty stoked on that bit!
i love it
Dropped the van off for oil change and such. Dry day so why not break out the #yoloroadbike for the first time in a while, and show off the new shoes?
Pretty fun jumping on a go-fast bike after getting used to cruise-y commuting on the hunter gatherer.
May get around to putting the cut tire on the rear, but it barely entered my mind while riding it. Maybe with more summer riding I consider repainting it, since the stock pink was really easy to chip from the jump.
sooooooo dope al!!!
28 days later. still drop bars.
i guess this is growing up.
But how many times in those 28 days have you ridden the drop bars?
like five times! and my undercarriage has NOT been well so that’s pretty much like riding the continental divide.
this!
They did a killer job and deserve the kudos
Hell yeah! Loving the 3x1 ! I rode my 2x1 into work today cos rainy weather. That looks damn nice.
I’ve been building something far more elaborate than a garage door to photograph my merely-complicated bike builds against
Waiting on a 14mm allen wrench to mount the 183mm BB30 cranks
I enjoyed the free part of the interview with the dude on Geek warning. Sounds like an onto it guy.
All hail Skelly.
