Dammit: Post your bike

Really loving this journey and how much money you’re dumping into a kids bike

Makes me want to fix the flat on mine

Bro I’ve spent more on this little bike than any other bike I’ve ever owned. It’s embarrassing and stupid.

Sorry for the nds shot and the kid that isn’t mine.

How long till I build a dynamo wheel for this thing?

Could go fancy bottle dyno. Otherwise you only need to wait until they’re on a 20’ wheeled thing and they can borrow the bullit’s one for a few years.

Yeah, as convenient as it is, it sketches me out a little.

does the side boi above the battery do anything?

They do not. No idea what those are for. There’s also a weird stick thing that sticks out from both sides of the boom tube down there. Never seen anything like that thing.

as nice as the owners of this company are, their product has always made me uncomfortable

Yeah, the more I interact with it the more I’m all :face_with_spiral_eyes:
It’s fine and works fine but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I’m still unsure if I can upgrade to hydros somehow and keep the brake lever motor cutoff function. The sensor seems to interact with the cable itself. :face_with_spiral_eyes:
It’s a bafang system so I should probably go read the e-conversion thread.

I have an extra magura hydro cut off switch cause I bought two without thinking I don’t need two

Bafang has a brake sensor kit for use with other levers. It’s out of stock at their site, but it looks to be the same kit that’s on Amazon. Watch their install video first to see if it might be worth trying.

I went through the same sort of thing with the Grin kit on my Lorry and decided that it wasn’t really worth upgrading to hydros on that bike. Kind of a different situation on that bike because it had a throttle and regen braking that the brake sensor triggered.

Are cable-actuated hydros viable? I know it’s generally a compromise solution but seems appropriate with the multiple systems involved.

Then again the Bafang sensors just are the cost of a pair of brake pads so probably more effective
