Oh yeah, this is the first pic since I replaced some parts. I got tired of the Thomson aesthetic, so I went with VO / Simworks for the stem / seatpost. I also swapped the carbon Specialized bottle cages for wire cages. The straighter lines of all the parts makes for a more consistent, classic look.

boomer dad got a botched knee job about a year ago and its been fucked ever since, and now hes going back for more surgeries. we tried to get the big dumb pallet pedals to see if that would be easier on his knees, and they were, but not enough to make him ride comfortably. i got the vibe that he didnt even want to look at the bike and wasnt really surprised when he said i could have it.
its fucking dumb, there arent mounts for anything, its single speed and undergeared so it spins out almost instantly, sometimes even on climbs, its 100% unrideable with a dead battery due to the amount of drag (is this for all ebikes? im new), it has an illuminated head badge and tail lights that all light up even when you are at 0% for pedal assist juice, weird integrated stem thing, handlebars with holes in em, all cables internal, blue instead of white checkers so i cant call it ska bike, literally sucks shit.
that being said, thanks sr pears for surprise new bike day that i didnt expect or want. great guy.

Yes, unless it is some of the SL motors like Fazua and HQ, but most full powered jawns suck when no power is present.

The most bothersome part is the cockpit. Is there anything that can be done about that shit? Adapters to run regular stem?
I think that’s a normal 9/8 steerer and stem but with a little compartment to hide the shameful cables and hoses
any bike has external cable routing when you own zip ties
he’s still holding his average at bowling so for now hes fine.
