I’m wanting to run a 90mil, I just need to find one tall enough to keep my bars at this level

can swap from the 571mm wheels to 559mm with medium-reach brake calipers, and then have tons of options for 32-35mm road tires

it would be a nice inversion of your KaraTTe Monkey

Speaking of which, there’s a guy I see like 3 days a week on a KaraTT Monkey on the Lakefront Trail!

Swapped tires to Mezcals, and they look good I think. Also fixed my spongy brake lever feel that was bugging me. Really did not like the dirt handling of the Sparwoods I had on there for a bit.

Going to do my first CX race in 14 years or so on Sunday. Have to take all the accessories off later in the week. Might change the chainring too.

I think I have the “commuter” in its mostly final form. Got the dynamo front wheel and lights rigged up this week for the upcoming dark season rides to/from the co-op and maaaaan they rule. Any tips for keeping the connections free from salty ocean air incursion?

Maybe a lil silicon grease on the lego like how it was shipped?

The very exposed spade connectors on my SON hub held up through 10+ years of winter commutes in salty slush. And my bikes are stored in an unheated garage and washed infrequently.

I don’t think it’s something to worry about

Exactly, the brakes/rim will fail before the lego

Going to give this a try for a bit.

The full moon was much more impressive in person.

You need one of those ai camera phones that imagines the full moon and puts it in your photo without even being asked.
