Spent two weeks thinking about this and researching different bikes before deciding to do it. There’s a healthy portion of yolo here, but also realizing that it’s a pretty good time to do this. I may not always live somewhere this bike will be useful, I may not always have a place to store it, and, as I’m realizing lately, my health may not always be what it is now. Bikes are frustrating and annoying at times and they still bring me a lot of joy.

Yeah they’ve been getting a lot of good stuff lately. I noticed that Propel Bikes closed their Long Beach store at some point, could be that some of the bikes ending up at Upway in Los Angeles might be coming from there.

Had a very nice time on some premium winter conditions before the heatwave came in and stole all the fun. The 45mm internal rims are surprisingly good with these 4-4.3” tires. But once it thaws out I can get back out my new beloved scorcher.

Extremely stoked that all the ice has melted and I could get out on ye olde fender bike. It turns out Sheldon Brown and 63xc are right and having a reasonably geared comfortable fixed gear is loads of fun. The higher the stack the closer to G-d.
