this is a weird one. heading eastbound home from work today. two eastbound lanes, the left one usually turns left so i’m in the right lane (obviously) taking the lane. dude in gold oldsmobile kinda encroaching up on my space from the left lane. i have to stop for a light, and dude pulls up like six inches from my left leg. i give him the stink eye. he pulls up further. rolls down his window. i’m ready for battle.
he says “how are you?”
me: “good, how are you?”
him: “good, how’s it going out there?”
at this point i’m not sure if he wants to fight or is just being friendly. i think it was somewhere in between - i think he wanted to make himself known but didn’t necessarily want to start shit?
so i told him to have a nice day and the light changed. and i rode home the whole way wondering whether he was an asshole, or just an oblivious nice guy.
florida plates, obviously not a rental car, btw.

Leaving school today, a little red shitbox kept revving and passing me aggressively, and then I would pass it as soon as there was any traffic at all. I got to a main intersection on my way home, light turns green and I go straight, head up a little hill. Two cars pass me with no issue, and third car is the aggressive red driver. He passes me close enough to put my left arm out and touch his car with my fingertips. Red car driver get to the top of the hill and turns right, and drives directly into two concrete planters. Car was heavily damaged, maybe totaled. As I rode past, I said “Nice job, dipshit.”
