How about that guy in Portland that makes the Lego frames

Not sure if Vroomen qualifies as someone who knows what they’re doing…

probably better to just make the forks and racks in plastic

the first round of frames can have a little metal, as a treat

I have: 1ā€ ht frame
I need: 1ā€ steerer disc fork with rack tabs

Who should I talk to? Eric doesn’t have a shop rn

Orc I’d say

Or Walt Works. That guy is awesome.

here’s a dumb thought, what about a ti fork?

Tom Kellogg on why it doesn’t work:

Titanium forks are real cracky from everything I’ve seen.

What parts of a bike do you want springy? The rear triangle?

As Fred has said before, triangles just don’t work that way. Seatpost and fork is where you have the most potential flex but with the fork there’s obviously a limit to how much flex you would want before it negatively effects handling.

If it’s comfort you seek… shim down to a 25.4 carbon post.

Adventure pokes, or a new SKU?

The Prolly-preview said new fork:

The frameset includes the all-new Brevet fork, that has internal dynamo routing, and 2-pack bottle bosses.
