"Fugi" bikes, etc...

^ lol @ “must have drivers’ license to test ride”

it does say the dude is selling it because he is having eye surgery…maybe that explains the spelling/grammar mistakes?

I didn’t even get that far into the ad, the first two made me give up but that ‘drivers license’ bit just puts the cap on it. Maybe Brad at American Cyclery should have written the listing for him as well.
And this one’s just mind boggling:

Aluminum tires? Metal ones?
I’ll attempt to translate:

“Here are wheels for sale. One is a steel 24” front wheel with a tube and tire. The other is a quick-release aluminum wheel from a Trek with a tube and tire. contact info in the middle of the post There is also a 20" BMX wheelset with pegs but without tubes or tires. Any bike parts or neeeeeds let me know and I won’t know what you’re talking about because I make up my own terms for them. I might not be able to answer emails because I’m on the library internet and they close early on weekends. Just call my mom, she’ll know where I am.

Bwahaha!!!

I think that’s a bit of collateral for the test ride. Kind of like test riding at a lot of bike shops. Lots of bikes get stolen that way.

There’s currently a sweet Fuju bike on craigslist here. Sounds like a winner

This one has an interesting spelling of gears and a truvatic something or other.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Cannondale-Cyclocro ... dZViewItem

the “minor scrap on left handlebar gear” is a pretty interesting description. i also like that they quote the exact amount the bought it for, down to the penny.

Man, craigslist is an endless source of wonder and amusement (and anger and frustration sometimes)

Is solid aluminum the next wave in frame technology?

No but imail is.

I once went to look at a bike advertised in a craigslist ad as a Fugi. I figured, hey this could be a pretty good deal on a winter beater. I got there, ad imagine my surprise to find that it WAS in fact a Fugi. That’s actually what it said on the decals on the frame and it was a craptastic bike complete with rusted solid chain from sitting outside for the last couple of years at least.

Huffy USA Racing 50 bike bicycle, like dyno gt LOOK! - $5 (6400 W Irving Park rd. nw side chicago)
Might buy it for the tarcky saddle!!!

“I does a flat back tire as seen in the picture. I’ll will replace the tube if interested or knock $25 off the price as is.”

My other cl favorite is “Burning Man bike!”. These are usually:

 1. unrideable complete turds that any sane person wouldn’t pay a dime for
 2. decent bikes that need a little work and deserve better fates than being ridden into the ground by technohippies

" 48 inch motorbecane "

classic.

I love how everyone seems to have completely different methods of measuring bicycles on craigslist

I want to know what goes through their minds

like, “…maybe…I’ll measure from the top of the wheel…to the end of the driveway…”

Hahah oh blicks

:bear:

I love how promenantly he displays the fact that he’s an idiot.
