I just apologized to a driver for your dumb tarck ass.

Sort of a mid-wifey thing I think

i had to google it myself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doula

Wasn’t me, BTW. I don’t own a bike and I only leave West Seattle to go to work.

you know what you shoulda done tarckee: caught up with his ass, grab him, take him to mikes, and forcefed him some spicy ass chile till he agreed to no longer ride like a douche

at least that would work for me
I took my girlfriend’s car to Kinkos to mail a package a few weeks ago, and I almost plowed into some brakeless conversion-riding doofus, who was plowing through a red light, playing “Bike Messenger” at 10:00 PM without any lights or brakes on his bike.

I hate bikes.
I’ve been seeing this more and more as I’ve been riding after dark and I don’t know why folks would put themselves in that kind of stupid danger. Planet bikes sells a front n’ back lightset for 12 bucks or something. Maybe I should buy a few and just tuck them in these dumbasses’ hoodies as I ride past 'em.

I saw some dude (at night, w/ no lights) stop at a light, look both ways and run it with a cop directly behind him who then proceded to pull him over. Good stuff.

cred. :bear:

haha wtf what an idiot. Who doesn’t look behind them when running a red (to check for a cop)?

i usually run it even when i see a cop. i haven’t had any problems, which is funny because they’re apparently cracking down in cambridge.

I guess I just don’t play messenger hardcore enough.

Eh, who wasn’t a young d-bag once, on the other hand.

I don’t ride that way anymore, for sure, but a couple years ago I though that was the thing to do.

Well here in Austin we have lots of police, and they are very zealous. Quotas and what not.

Yep, me too.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Yesterday evening ('bout 6:30 or so, when things start getting dark this time of year) I got a compliment on my supaflash while stopped at a light. It was kinda awkward, but he really appreciated being able to see me, as so many folks forgo light usage and presumably frustrate the hell out of him.

buying one today as soon as i pick up my paycheck.

That’s badass. Confidence booster fo sho.
