I want a stayer bike

You know the geometry on those is about holding a line at +50mph and not any form of “nimble?”

The motorbike? Or the bicycle? Sure the bicycle’s cool, but a little overbuilt if you’re not going 40+.

PS. me too.

Yes, I’m aware of that. I got to examine one closely over the weekend, pretty amazing.

The tires look really fat???

the motorbikes in the old stayer photos weird me out. one of the ones with two people riding them seems like it would be fun to have.

Install a 650 wheel with your fork backwards.

They pretty much handle like a shopping cart if you’re steering from the kid’s seat.

Not that I’ve ever ridden one. I just thought I’d say that as a allusion to the uber rake.

Dave Moulton disagrees. Says the reverse rake, steep head tube, and 650 wheel add up to negative trail which has the same effect as positive.

Yeah, people are confused about what the stayers set-up is supposed to accomplish. Obviously they want the bikes to be very stable, but the main goal is to move the riders body closer to the Stayer.

Nate, you have a bad back. You would never be able to ride one of these.

The bars are pretty high on them.

Steve (dutret) is that really you?
