wfh this week keeps on giving but I also work 2 min from a bunch of trails so just gotta start bringing my mtb to work for sunset rides. Finally got back out to North Carolina this morning. I’ve got a new damper in my Lyrik and am riding my shock with a bit different setup as well. The damper has made a huge improvement with support on the front end. The bike feels better than it ever has before. The story I’ve been told is that this platform used to be for launching hang gliders. I’ve ridden past it so many times over the last 5 years but never stopped on it until today. HY root beer bike and a silver cockpit. I’d like to do more MTB rides up there, but I’m nervous about the idea of going up by myself just due to the remoteness and high potential to get really hurt on some of the trails. Trails like Black Mountain and Avery Creek are popular enough that someone would be coming by eventually, but up on the north side around Pilot Rock it’s pretty quiet. ---
