MACC One Love
Bunch of climbing today - 4200’ in 38 miles. Bulk of the elevation was from two climbs. White Oak Mountain was first with 1800’ in 4 miles, and Green River Cove is 900’ in 2.4 miles.
I’m really glad I didn’t do the longer version of this route because I was completely spent after Green River. Average grade isn’t too bad but it’s the 15 switchbacks at 15%-20% that kill the legs, plus the few hundred yards of straight 15% that I kind of forgot about.
did the math and riders plus bike and trailer plus cargo (including me) was like 350lbs. did the strongest tarck century i ever did today

The library is being renovated and will be closed for a while. My friend donated a cargo tricycle a while ago and we went to the ground breaking ceremony today and led a bike parade transporting some books to the temporary library a few blocks away.
the guy in the cowboy hat is the mayor.
Got up early and rode my MTB for 3 hours in North Carolina today. Prime MTB season is just around the corner and I felt really great on the bike today. Lots of PRs both climbing and descending and the forest was gorgeous.
Did an overnight after work to test out the set up for a longer trip later this month. Gonna be cramped but it’ll work. Great riding.
Love this. Been trying to convince sup to make a cargo bike book shop for years.
Such a good idea…here are some better pictures.

Sometimes I wish I had never ridden a bike with full coverage fenders, because it makes a fenderless road bike in the rain kind of miserable knowing how much better it could be.
A True American Patriot:
Just got back from a WFH lunchtime loop on the Cdale, while listening to a 60 minute infomercial on leftys from the Cannondale CFR crew. Was funny as one of the guys kept getting his facts wrong and the other guy would correct him. Bikerumour.
I’ve been chillin at that creek crossing since I was like 8 lol. Met so many salamanders there
There’s some great creeks up there.
I went on the loudest ride of my life with a set of wrenches and sockets thrown in this toolbox. Didn’t need to use my bell once and leveled up on smooth line selection in my neighborhood
So good! Love the little star
my dad has a carbon cannondale (synapse i think?). he p-clamped a REAR rack on and has a big heavy jandd bag from the 90s on it. with a bunch of loose wrenches and allen keys in it. i have tried to get him to try literally any other cargo option and he just refuses to consider it.
he’s too slow to ride with but when we do go (i’ll roller ski and he’ll ride) it sounds like a dog collar trade show
I just got back from a 2 week road trip, we took bikes, but didn’t really get a ton of time to ride them, but we did get one really good 25mi / 1600ish ft day in
