it wouldn't be tarck without a dyno thread

You could also mount the light mid fork on the nds. I did that when experiencing similar problem.

i’ve had limited success with something like this: Schoolyard projects on Instagram: "So basically it’s 1m of o 6mm rebar, or Bewehrungsstahl in German, bend to shape and then wrapped with a stripe of old inner tube …. Then attached with a velcostrap … we are talking 3€ for the steel and 2€ for the strap.. not bad… not bad at all … Yes it’s wonky and there is stuff to improve but for a 3 min first try … I let it slide #Frontrack #diybike #retromtb #90smtb #mtbhack #bicyclerack #bicyclehack #commuterbike #bikehack"
haven’t spent the time to tweak it to be perfect yet though

My iq-x does the same thing

Can that bag be attached to the saddle on its own or with an adapter like the Restuvus?

That’s an idea! No saddle loops but the Jammer could be run as a saddle bag with the adapter or a different saddle.

I also learned B&M has a bunch of different size mounts so I ordered a few of the smaller/lower ones (Busch & Müller Dynamo Front Light Mounting Bracket | Perennial Cycle). The one I’m using now is a fancier one but non adjustable angle. I think I have one of the adjustable angle ones too. I’m guessing I have enough space above the tire and below the bag.

It gets sad when a bag bumps its head?

The adjustable mount would probably work. Looks like there might be enough room to mount the part that attaches to the fork so that the arm attaches to it below the fork crown bolt to get the light even lower.

I don’t know why they don’t put the mounting nubbin on the back of the light housing instead of the bottom

Bc there is a switch

they could put the switch that no one ever presses somewhere else

Sounds like a model that is not the IQ-x

the issue is its center of gravity

cantilevering the whole thing horizontally would have it droop over time all by itself just from vibration

Don’t they all do that anyway?

no the B&M lights are pretty well balanced

especially with the stock mount style that clamps it in double-shear from both sides, isolating it rotationally from the bolt/nut

Change my mind: everything should just adopt GoPro finger tab mounts

On the back, right?

Dynamo headlight mounts are identical to the GoPro standard, just with the middle finger deleted

Having the finger is better by adding more friction surface, and being better support for injection molded plastic.

I haven’t tried adapting in the reverse direction yet with washers in between the fingers. It would be pretty awesome if B&M could switch over and maintain compatibility by having a finger-filler piece.

I found myself in the situation of having acquired two 100 x 15 mm carbon forks, but only having a 100 x 12 mm dyno hub.

One’s axel is 150mm wide and one is 125mm wide. I had no idea there was so much variation in TA stuff, as I only have a couple of TA wheels.

Anyway, there are zero 12mm replacements on Ali-express for the 150mm but I found a converter for the 125mm one.

It fits the fork, but not tried my wheel on it yet. 23$ from memory.
