It's finally arrived - the sub $1000 carbon track frame, direct from China.

A few of us have mentioned how it was only a matter of time until this appeared, and now here it is. I don’t know enough about carbon frames to know what else this bike is sold as, but it certainly resembles some others that I’ve seen out at the track.

If I were still living near a world-class velodrome, I’d strongly consider buying this (even though I love my Javelin).

is that the same company that’s making the knock off hed 3 and mavic io?

Looks like a Teschner Track Pro…?

Actually nevermind, not really…

looks like a lotta things all mashed together.

Looks a frame Batman would buy.

perfect for critical mass

I’ve been floating the idea of a Javelin for sometime now. How are you enjoying it?

whoever is making those, is making a road and a TT frameset
(for a little bit cheaper as well)

DOES IT BARSPIN

Yeah, as far as I know, the company is called CYTEX. But it could be a completely different thing altogether. I just know that a lot of those blank carbon frames are being made by them.

The Fuggmaster 9000

lolled will lol again

weighs in at 1350 grams = 2.97624054 pounds

i want someone rich to buy that, tell us how it rides and then find out how much it takes to break it

Why are the chinese carbon road frames 350 and this one is 700+?

http://www.planet-x-usa.com/pPCTRKFRMST/Planet-X-Pro-Carbon-Track-Frameset.aspx

Only $750!

these look more robust than the road carbons on ebay
the roadies look kind of like a pinarello prince fork and a less new age frame.

this is one of the few frames i’ve ever seen that outright looks horrendous.

and $700 is freaking ridiculous. the planet x one at least includes stickers.

im seriously considering requesting that the shop that is building my track bike get a planet X frame for me.
