so i bent my conversion(long time coming) and im looking at new frames
it needs to be big, steel, strong, and cheap…and barpsinnable. i was looking at the mark V because my buddies smaller sized one had clearance for barspins with the stock fork and a 700c front. but his was low 50s, id be getting the 62, which has a tighter head angle.
so in summary, does anyone know if the 62 can barspin with the stock fork and a 700c front wheel? are there any other cheap steel bikes that fit my requirements that im overlooking?
if you do barspins the REAL way, on a bianchi concept with a carbon fork, you can’t go barck from tarck because the only way out is to impale yourself on broken fork shards
…sigh figured this might happen. im not really feelin the angus. does any one in here even have a larger sized mark v theyd be willing to check with? just cause im getting conflicting answers, and by looking at the rake of the fork and the tire/dt clearance, it looks like it would clear(with a 23c of course)
thanks for the useful rsponses! it is a shame that ive been misled, i guess ill need to maybe lace up a 650 open pro… or maybe just be done with it and get a DMR trailblade fork.
and gansta track is way too expensive and on like 6-8 week backorder. not to mention i prefer bigger fitting frames.
and i had a bmx, now i ride a street mountainbike, but just cause i have a bike thats easier to barspin and more appropriate for it…doesnt mean i cant like doing barspins on the fixed. unlike wheelies of course which are way way way way way WAY more awesome on a fixed bike, i can wheelie for like 50 feet on a good day on my street bike, but i can wheelie from young to bay on my fixed.
no dude, justifying other means of having fun is not acceptable. you must conform to the methods and standards of recreation set by the 4 people on this board, and to have fun on a tarck bike in any other way besides riding it slow or fast is absurd.
just sit back and take the heat. it’s okay.
