Lockring Tool

i like my park tools one. its kind of a beast

i use my teeth

I have these and love them. I kinda want to get a spanner too though.

When spanner slips you can seriously fuck your knuckles on them spokes.
I’ve never used the pliers.
Maybe I should just try being less of a fucking spazz.

fuck it…

I have a burly shimano one that has a lockring tool on one end and an 1/8" chainwhip on the other.
It’s awesome.
Thats what i have and that is what broke. :colbert:
Wow.
Really?
It’s so thick and solid.
The old offbrand chainwhip I had would bend when I reefed on it.
That’s what she said.

+1 for Hozan (pliers)

My Hozan always slips. I have to be super careful with it. It’s annoying.

I have a Park HCW-5. It sucks.

aw dammit!!!

It is the pliers or a spanner? If it is the pliers you are doing something wrong.

How the hell are you people putting on your lockrings, stomping them tight? I have a crappy sugino one with a feeble looking hinged hook which I got used 4 years ago, and it’s still going strong.

park tools. support local. ftw

My Hozan pliers always get envious looks when I whip em out at the track. We even keep in stock at the shop (DH nudge nudge, wink wink)

Two contact points are better than one.

Thats what she said.

Ha.
I was waiting for that one.

does anyone know how well the eai tool works as a chainless chainwhip because holy shit that’s awesome

The hook end is both a lock-ring wrench and a “chainless chain whip” (the sprocket fits into the groove.)
It looks cool, but for $120 it better give me a blowjob after it takes off my lockring and cog!
