Discovered last week that the fork on a Jamis touring bike does the same. Felt bad for customer.
Wound Up is for putting crabon forks on old 1" road bikes (and cross bikes too I guess). Pretty sure that’s it

Of the forks I checked out, only WoundUp does a 40mm rake, the rest are 43-47mm, which is not great for a tall person road bike. Between that and their super-long steerers, they’re good for giant bikes as well as vintage-to-modern conversions.
Right now, road carbon disc aftermarket forks are this: Enve, Parlee, WoundUp, Columbus, ??? There are more cross forks, but they might not be optimal for serious road use. I’m considering having a steel fork made for this next project, maybe trying a carbon disc road job when there are more options.
this “more options” you are speaking of is a tapered steertube, guaranteed.
Tapered steerer is on my list of Wonderous Bicycle Technologies of Tomorrow, Today. Also hydro disc brakes instead of cabled rim brakes. Maybe that’s it? I’m not sure if slightly wider tires are that amazing, but I want to try those 28mm nominal, 31mm actual Conti GP4Kii tires. Currently they’re a no-go on any of my road bikes. A small, ill-advised part of me wants an ISP. Also Sram’s wireless shifters look cool as hell, but are wildly expensive?
this is my thread. get that garbage out of here. im the one who gets to dither on fop shit not you
DQ: BEST MID/LATE 90s COCKPIT SETUP

No tandem dithering? Fine. What fork are you going to use?
i dont know what you’re talking about
i want to see 1" threadless cockpit setups
What bars are those, Fred? Deep drops. Anything shallower?
that bike is so batshit insane

TIME CUBE: the bike…
Nitto #165
the 170mm deeeep bars that came on some RB-1s
yeah I love that thing. 'twas rad with the stem mounted dyno light setup.
^that pic actually includes the whole beautiful dynamo setup if you look closely
don’t think i ever saw this – any pictures, fred?
I used an extra long bolt in the stem’s handlebar clamp to get threads sticking out the bottom, and then used a V-brake pad nut to secure the flipped stock mount for the dyno light
The Phillips version of the mount had a stress riser stamped into it, and eventually broke off leaving me with a 2am 20mi TT holding it in my hand all the way home
It currently has a Cyo Premium on it mounted normally at the fork crown
I need to start riding that bike again, I was on it when I collarbonered
That’s a great looking sandwich
