Miguel's fat-tired fopmobile

Yo Fred what’s up with the compass bbshell?

why do you want a lugged BB

why

Balleur paperweight?

Adjustable dropouts vs tensioner for mostly commuting ss bike? Will never be a fixed gear and probably be a 1x11 someday.

I’ve asked this before with only joke answers - has anyone used (or even seen) a phil-centric BB? I’ve never even seen one

AFAIK the Phil-Centric BB is vaporware. I’ve talked to people who tried to order one and were told that Phil didn’t have any and didn’t know when there would be more. I wish Problem Solvers would just make one.

For 68BSA EBB, there was the Forward Components, but it disappeared years ago. A friend had one and quite liked it.

There’s also the Trickstuff Exzentriker which is the same concept and actually available

Those trek dropouts seem like a better idea though.

Ben’s has one in stock right now.

if you’re building a frame for an eccentric, use PF30

Ooh colors

the links in their webstore for it don’t work

the Goodridge stuff disappeared from the UK shops awhile back but I found it again here a few months ago, they’ve got the fittings too: https://www.bike-components.de/de/Goodridge/Stahlflexleitung-p27719/

Hahaha, I usually shop at spencer24.de

I’m sorry for continually asking DQs about mtbs

For a hardtail trail/firelane bike - what is the squish fork to use? 120? 150?

Whichever the bike is designed around.

Yes, do I want the bike with the 120 or the 150?

what you want is a sus-spencer…

i’ll show myself out

Which are these two bikes? You still looking at carbon from far-east?
Do you want to ride only fire roads and XC type sufferfest stuff the “120 bike” is more appropriate.
If you want to try manoeuvring a rock garden, leave the ground and catch some air, “get rad bro” and maybe try your wings in a bike park/proper trail center then “150 bike” is more appropriate.

What if we want both?

Tarck is about underbiking

I’ve never ridden a 150mm hardtail but my 130 hardtail gives me all of it. I’ve had 100 and 120 in the past and they were very good until things got gnarley. For fire roads I’d suggest a 100-120 XC style bike.
