more bags for sale

I’m so stoked on my new-to-me Tom Binh that I hang it up when I get home so my cats can’t piss on it.

Can I sell bags in here too

dibs on any large backpacks.

None of those. I have an rei travel duffel and a mission workshop monty mess bag.

I should’ve bought that roadrunner bag :face_holding_back_tears:

I have one of these that’s unused, the trip/use it was purchased for is not happening:

SOLD

Btw carry on I believe is 62L

usually ~45L depending on the bag, this one should be carry-on-able if not crammed to the max :person_shrugging:

Y’all use bike backpacks for commuting? Starting March 10 I’m back in office full time and it’s a 14 mile round trip commute. I’ve always done it with racks/panniers/baskets, but I’m wondering if I could just use my drop bar road bike every now and then with a backpack instead. Since I’m in office full time I don’t have to bring my laptop back and forth, which saves a lot of weight. Just clothes and food.

I commuted a bit on a road bike using an Osprey backpack with a vented/arched back to help with back sweat. It worked fine other than there was some minor interference between the back of the hamlet and the top of the bag for my particular bike/bag/helmet. Been a while, but I’m recalling a bit of visibility issues when trying to look back over my shoulder (traffic checks and such) which might have just been a thing because that bag stood higher off the back than most. A rack and pannier would have been a better setup atmo.

I also have a 14 mile round trip and I’ll do almost anything to avoid wearing my backpack when I commute. I have baskets on all my commuter bikes. The only time the backpack goes on my back is when I over-fill the basket with groceries. The backpack isn’t a big deal when the weather is cool but I commuted with a messenger bag or backpack it seemed like something in my bag was always jabbing me in the back.

Somebody should scoop this
I have one in the 32 literway and it’s great
Bigger would be good to check. I don’t think I’d want to drag it around
And they just replaced the Velcro on an 8 year old backpack for free

Can I call dibs on this if still available? Looks rad and exactly like the type of bag I wished we had for our last trip

Man I love how silly that tacticool bag is, I kinda want it.

Why does anyone have so many bikes?

The dither doesn’t stop, it just takes different forms

I went on a bag buying thing early in the pandemic with the thought that I’d dither enough to make my perfect bag… I still have a couple rolls of x-pac and no perfect bag. Still enough out there to rotate through when something interesting pops up on marketplace. All that to say, bag dithering is one of the easier dithers.

Also, Tom Bihn is on a weird post-founder spin off where they’re outsourcing some stuff to Vietnam… so grab the MUSA stuff while you can if that’s a factor.

I like that cafe bag

I just ordered a chrome bag that would fill a similar niche but I’m tempted. the chrome bag will probably suck anyway since it’s chrome. maybe when it gets here I’ll realize I hate it

It be into the d4 if it weren’t for the Velcro patches. That shit annoys me.
