Sup really seems to also kill quite a few. Kickr was what we were using, but they stopped the regular chest one and seem to have moved to arm band. But was changing battery often, and then just replacing when it totally gave up the ghost.
Will keep an eye on the coospoo now. I wonder if it is because its under sports bra so could me more saturated to get through any seals and mess up connectors or whatever.
I had forgotten about Cateye. That was the first HRM I bought.
@featherduster I might prefer the beep to the Ironman flashy LED thing that moat of them do.
atmo just get a watch
I did use my Garmin Forerunner 255 watch to broadcast my HR to my Garmin Edge 830 this weekend and it was a much more comfortable experience.
Over 5 hours 16 mins elapsed I only lost ~5% battery life on the watch.
wrist HR is not very accurate for me especially doing activities that involve a lot of arm movement
i also kind of stopped caring about HR so whatever
I’ve been planning out the 2026 season, coz no crawz for me. I took some time to port all my old training calendars in Google Calendar over to Intervals.icu. Supposedly, the Wahoo can download the workouts from the calendar. I’ll have to figure out how to work that. I have all my workouts built for Wahoo and Stages already, though.
Overall, it is a nice platform. The workout builder is intuitive, with a of natural language syntax to describe sets and interval lengths. Once you have all the workouts built, then you can drag & drop them into a plan. I think my favorite part of the plan builder is the chart estimate:
This last season, I experimented with a reverse periodization plan. While I felt stronger on climbs, my aerobic capacity was shit. This season, I’ve got one VO2 workout each week in addition to the regular FTP building workouts. If I can stay healthy through the winter, I should be in good shape by April.
man, i cracked 1000w for the first time in forever (besides some occasional questionable 1000w spikes on DH days).
turns out gaining 20 lbs is the trick to getting back to 4-digit watts.
