My track bike

Newbie here. Here’s my track bike.

neat

sweet.

Have I seen this before? Remind me what that’s supposed to say-is it a phoneticization of “Track bike” in Cyrillic or actual words?

That’s a pretty rad bike.

Looks like a killer setup. Love the Cyrillic. How does she ride?

I love white bikes.

wat

That is very awesome.
But I believe that there’s already a thread for this…

lookin’ good.

You are correct, my good man. It’s Cyrillic for “Track Bike”. A friend of mine has one of those vinyl cutting sticker making machines and I wanted something out of the ordinary.

She rides a little harsh. I have a set of Vittoria Corsa EVO-CX tubulars pumped up to it’s max pressure of 220psi. I only ride her on my local velodrome.

you’d think for the money he spent they could’ve spelled “tarck master” right on that stem.

dear tarck master:

what is the gearing on this bicycle of yours that you ride exclusively on the velodrome?

thanks

220? Which track?

Wherever it is, it must be paved with baby seal skin to be that smooth.

Unless it’s a nice wood track you’d probably be a lot more comfortable and ride faster if you dropped the psi to 150 if not 120. Rolling resistance and PSI aren’t entirely inversely proportional to each other.

Sweet ride

The pictured bike had a 44x14 (83 gear inches). I am thinking of going to a 45 or 46.

Is this true? I’ll try this out next time I race. Could the high pressure be the cause for my spokes breaking in the rear? My wheels are built on 32h Formula hi-flange hubs, 14g spokes laced 3x on Mavic GL330 rims.

San Diego Velodrome in Balboa Park.
