the quality has been very good for me. I have all the pieces for a moonlander with a cracked frame that I squeezed some silver solder into. I keep thinking how fun it would be to transfer everything over to it but I’m not going to do it till I find a pro to do a beefier repair.
Two bars emerged on a blog, and I—
I took the one black anodized,
And that has made all the difference.
Seems like you’re better off getting a CYC Photon ATMO
I used to think that way until I did it. mid drive is using all of your consumables to drive the bike. Hub motor doen’t stretch your chain or wear your cogs any more than acoustic. if you do break the chain you can throttle home. also the diameter of the winding on the grin is more than double to photon. photon is making it up with fiddly little gears inside.
Tarcklebee for framed inspirational poster at my normally secular trade unable to do things without proselytizing
how much are print-on-demand posters?
Needs natural oak frame and glass. Maybe some matting.
Having our friends that have a framing business over next week btw
What image
I have a TSDZ2 on my Big Dummy, it’s kinda like the shitty janky cousin of the Photon, and I do actually like that just fine for dad bike duties. But a fat bike with a big dumb hub motor that I use to throttle through stuff has some appeal. Not like $2k in appeal though.
I wanna know what happened to freegen: https://ebikes.ca/blog/post/freegen-explained-video-premiere-tuesday-at-12pm-pst.html
I suspect the other company ran off and sold to someone with real money
maybe couldn’t make it work?
When that video came out, I thought it was cool, but felt that it adds a lot of complexity to the motor for pretty modest gains in range. Hub motors are so simple, I wonder if it wasn’t a hard sell for manufacturers.
huh completely missed that 11-speed Tiagra R4000 dropped.
Did shimano seriously decide to break cross compatibility with 11-speed 105/Ultegra/Dura Ace…? C’mon man
and it’s “Cues pull ratio” but not “Linkglide” which means it’s actually Dynasys??
yeah feels super weird, and I’m not sure which way the cross compatibility is going with the cassettes having different cog pitch.
is the derailleur motion ratio the same: The derailleurs are interchangeable, but a Linkglide cassette must be matched with a Cues shifter and an HG cassette to the Tiagra shifter?
or
is the cable pull the same: The shifters are interchangeable, but a Linkglide cassette must be matched with a Cues derailleur and an HG cassette to the Tiagra derailleur?
EDIT oh wait haha yeah I’m getting you, if it’s the former it’s basically just 10/11-speed MTB motion ratio? It would be super funny if you could use those levers to make a drop-bar 11-speed MTB drivetrain with an XT rear derailleur or whatever.
Now you are talking ! is this the “coming together?” Pretty sure MTB 10+11+12 speed in shimano have the same dangler pull, and they say that shimano and sram MTB are effectively the same at 11 speed….
If the Escape Collective review is to be believed, it certainly looks like Tiagra gets to be the drop bar MTB pull shifter
Another small size gravel bike taunting a high offset carbon fork with luggage capacity. Surely 3-pack rated for 3kg a side would allow safe use of a conventional rack run to the back-of-the-fork crown bolt? Surely they would have at least some extra forks? Maybe I’ll ask, see if I can get ahead of them selling their warranty stock to Random Bike Parts in 15 years.
Ooh
