looks like a taiwenese company. 90% of the google hits for “peloton madison” come up in an asian language. they also show some pretty good looking stuff…

selling here for 49,800 yen, or 530 bucks u.s.

i dont need a frame since i have like four months on my kilo, but i like the appearance of this guy here.

thoughts?

Looks like crap to me.

peloton at one point made some really pretty NJS frames (like that one in the picture?), but i’d say this has nothing to do with that. just more cheap taiwan 4130 bikes. it all seems kinda shady, anyway.

but i guess you could get an unbranded one and tell everyone it’s a bareknuckle, and most people would probably believe you

If it’s all Cro-Mo, then $325 is a pretty damn good deal, given what some other companies charge.

It’s a tig welded 4130 frame, how is that a good deal at $325?

Also the company is Madison, NOT Peloton

Pelotons on the track sound like fun.

Oh, I thought it was lugged. Yeah, I’d expect more if it’s TIG-welded (although it’s still a better deal than the Bareknuckle).

It is $325 plus shipping from Tai-fucking-wan for a 4130 frame that weighs 1880gr.

That is worse than surprise anal sex while I am sleeping without lube and then you force me to make you breakfast afterwards.

the fork looks exactly like the schwinn madison fork. i wouldn’t be surprised if the frame was the same.

I think you’re going a little overboard here.

Oh, and always, always, always sleep with lube.

no it does not. the schwinn fork is significantly beefier. i don’t feel like checking schwinn’s site, but i believe the geometries are different as well.

so how much should they charge for this?

To make it attractive to us? Not very much. But I’m sure they’ll sell some at this price to people that aren’t really in-the-know.

justification?
it’s the same damn thing surly, iro, and about a hundred other companies do.

What would the shipping be?

Yeah, I was just in a crappy mood the other day.

I’m glad we’re in the know.

Look at the Kilo TT/Hour frame, thats what you should charge. $325 is a fine MSRP, but real world should be $200 or less. It is in no way a better frame, from what is shown, than the Kilo. You can get a lugged Alien for just a bit more regularly, and less during group buys. It is a better tubing and lugged.
