Please Tarck, I implore you, help me make all my bike decisions

22" is loooooooong for BMX, that’s like 6’4" territory

got a chance to get a titanium frame for a price i cant really pass up.

do i get this in a large - 2021 Bearclaw Bicycle Co. Hardtail Mountain Bike Base - Bike Insights

or do i pop for the extra $250 and go custom and extend the reach and maybe slacken it up a bit

OR do i go extra custom-custom and do the truss forked hardtail ive always wanted (would want non-sus corrected so would make option for sus fork in future impossible).

this would be a n=1 bike. a do-all that is perhaps a little better suited for singletrack than my flat-barred Mone. 20% singletrack, 50% gravel, 30% garbage.

this, but release the delusion of n=1

i call it a n=1 bike even though im not getting rid of the Mone. so the delusion is still there but i’ll deal with it soon.

Geo looks like my Sardinha, just a bit taller, and that bike rides fantastically.

My main critique on my bike is the 68º head tube can start to wander on steep climbs since the chainstays are so short. It’s a fun bike to BMX around on, but I definitely have to intentionally weight the front when it gets loose, moreso than, say, I would have to on a Sunliner.

That said, going on a steep little techie down, I have no fear. So, it depends on how your ‘ups’ are on your ride. Mine are more ‘smooth sit down and crank’ than ‘huck up a bunch of little tabletops and obstacles’.

i had actually considered the sardinha at one point so thats good to know! i do like the idea that the Hardtail MTB is already designed and probably good enough, with a smaller chance of shit getting fucked in the custom process.

Custom truss is my vote, let that spirit fly free

I wanted a bigger tire road bike. I have a shitload of bikes. Do I want to swap my Fuji Opus III that fits 25s for a $250 RB-T?
Fuji (everything would go on Bridgestone):

Bridgestone:

Oh yeah stock geo looks great (almost exactly like my ICT which I enjoy immensely for all types of unpaved riding except that bike has wide Q factor that makes it not the Best Bike of All Time). Truss forks are cool.

what tires are we gonna run

yes
