Say it ain't so: The Assploded Bike Parts Picture Thread.

I have two Elemnt Bolt v1 that are dying. One has a shit battery and neither connect to GPS well after the firmware update from the recent Wahoo v1 fiasco.

But damn bike computers are so expensive. I just want to track my rides.

I got one of these for my daughter’s bike when uncle jeff was selling them for $60ish, it’s actually not bad for what it does and she’s pretty psyched on it:

but otherwise yeah, bike computers got real expensive

Decided to oil my chain before riding down to the coop tonight when i noticed this. I have no idea how the fuck this happened. I think ive twisted a chain about 3 times in my life.

Who is the Kiwi equivalent of Ryan Bayley? You must have power legs!

I am just struggling to understand how it even happened. Cameron Jones does alright, burgling the Lifetime Series from Keegan Swenson?

I once did trailside repair for a beefcake muscle man who’d twisted a link 180 degrees. Cut it out and told him to keep it as a trophy of when he was young and strong.

I think this is a sign that I should stop trying to ride carbon seatposts (I broke another one in October ‘24).

Knew someone in MO that had one do that while riding. I guess Easton paid some medical bills for her.

This happened gradually (fortunately). I thought the clamp was slipping. I didn’t notice it was separating until I tried to tilt the nose down and didn’t have any room to adjust the angle.

Start with nixing the use of 15+ year old ones with bonded alloy heads and see what happens.

Epoxy and keep it rolling

I think I’ve got one just like that if you want to break another one.

I have an older PDW Danger Zone that I can’t get to work properly— the switch clicks but doesn’t change modes, so as soon as you put batteries in it it’s stuck on in one mode. can’t figure out if it opens, any ideas?

I appreciate the offer, but I’m going to consider myself lucky that it didn’t fail catastrophically and ride my old aluminum seatpost for a while.

Last time I rode this bike I was having frustrating issues with downshifting in the small ring. Inconsistent, jumping between gears. Was cleaning the chain today and noticed a broken pulley. Replaced it and shifting is fine now. First time that’s happened.
