If only that Marathon came in something a little fatter!
There are some odds and ends (I have these and they are fine), but really itās either full of supplyfe with RTP, or you settle for the Powerblocks. If a challenger emerges, you can bet it will be reported on here.
Powerblocks arenāt āsettlingā atmo
they would still be an excellent tire at twice the price
so plush
and they fuckin rip around the twisty mountain descents here
The only thing is they arenāt tubeless and some people care about that
I got the powerblocks. Anything is going to feel great after five months of riding on 600 metals studs
When did Stans get so cheap? We used to pay well over $100 for a Stans tire over here. I have used them a lot for poopbarning but they do wear quite quickly in my experience. https://www.notubes.com/the-raven-tire-26x2-2
When the 26" race market fizzled up
When they realized making tires wasnt worth it for them.
Just installed the Teravail Rampart Light & Supple 47. They measure 44.5 on i25s and now my fender line looks lame.
oh weird, pretty sure those measured exactly 47mm on my 22mm rims.
I will double check when I get home.
Other Jake had the same experience as you. Iām hoping they stretch significantly.
On the bright side, they are a vast improvement over Gravel Kings in ride quality.
the gk 48 sets the bar mega-low, and not for a game of limbo
Confirmed that Teravail Rampart Light & Supple 47 came in at 46.8mm on my inner 22mm rim. Fully stretched
On i21 rims I got 46.7 millimeters wide (stretched).
You can get Gravel Kings in weird colors now. Only in 700 though.
Nice to see them spending resources on this instead of offering tubeless versions of their plus-size knobbies.
Or just one nice 26" low-tread tire
This will shock nobody with any experience of this, but a floor pump with a compressor chamber makes seating tubeless tires real easy.
Just got a Joe Blow and boop two Pro One 25mm tires mounted right on up.
I guess my free pass to use my eight year old Bontrager WSD floor pump had to end sometimeā¦
Is there any other road tubular I should look at over these $57 Dugasts?
hilariously I had another Bike24 order ship right before I noticed this deal
Seriously, they have everything they need to make a 26" tubeless-ready Gravel King, a market they could easily own. Obviously itās small, but they know exactly how many tires Rent-a-Herse is selling, so they know thereās a market there.
