Surly Steamroller Tires

hi tarck

just picked up a 53cm steamroller frameset. site says it’ll take up to 38mm’s, but is that for all bike sizes? also, i’ll want to run full fenders. how many sizes will i want to drop for those?

lastly, i have little experience with fatter tires. what are some nicer ones?

while we’re on the subject of tires, anyone know where I can get some 26" monstercross tires?

Steamroller: fits 38s typically means you can get 28s under fenders with reasonable clearance. You’ll have to experiment.

oh man, I remember dropping blotter fat tires and listening to this with a quadraphonic 8-track system… the drum solo made my rims esplode…

Never heard of that band, though I recognize the songs. The Trigun theme was obviously heavily influenced by them.
