Anyone know where I can find a tandem road frame for under $1000? Or anywhere close to that figure? We don’t need custom, but big. 61+ captain/~58 stoker

I want a tandem cruiser but they are always overpriced or about to explode they are so rusty and poorly kept.

If I had any talent with metal I would try the Sheldon home brew tandem build. Tandem frames that aren’t junk seem to command money.

i saw a really nice one at a swap meet this weekend a husjak a local texas builder
58 captain
52 stoker
looked nos but wasn’t
double plate fork crown
they wanted 1k for the frame

yeah that is quite true.
I would check the “local bike coop” they may have a frame that just needs some work.

I wish I lived in the 'states. I reckon I’d either snag that or go for the triple tandem for $695.

mike terraferma has a custom built tandem for sale…
i think it’s a 58.5 / 53
it’s hotness… and i think it’s a grand.
he was building it for a couple that got divorced while he was making it… so he’s letting it go for a whole lot less than he should IMHO
