Hey I know that saddle 
My lady uses the Selle Italia LDY. She digs it fine. She’s not a very serious rider and rides a somewhat upright bike. The cutout helps a lot, however. I’m sure something else could be a little better(Brooks, etc) but we got this cheap. They’re usually a little more 'spensive. They look rad though.

i’m going to second or third or whatever the brooks. my ass is apparently really good at being okay on cheap as hell saddles, but everyone else swears by brooks, and i know a bunch of ladies with them that wouldn’t even think of switching.
Most women I ride with like either one of the Terry women’s saddles or the Fizik Vitesse. I rode a Vitesse for a while and it wasn’t bad at all, they go for pretty cheap on eBay if you keep an eye out.
Breaking in a Brooks sucks and there’s really no way around it. It could potentially kill a person’s desire to ride.
I don’t have a special lady-saddle for my bike because I have a short commute. The only saddle I’d drop fat duckets on would be a Brooks.
Just make sure she takes a good long test ride on whatever saddle you get; you can’t tell what something is gonna do to your bits until it meets them up close and personal.
That’s the thing, a good long ride will tell you fuckall about a Brooks.

Unless that person just happens to be shaped more or less how Brooks anticipated, which is more common than you would think. I know a few people who liked their Brooks right away. But if it hurts too bad to stick it out, one good thing about them is their high resell value.
I have a super cheap saddle (don’t know what kind) and I love it. I keep wanting to replace it with something that looks nicer, but it is really comfortable and when I have tried others, they are just not as good. I will look at it later and find out what kind it is.
Thanks for the suggestions. I think I’m going to our LBS (Specialized dealer) for a fitted saddle. I’d rather do this once correctly rather than three times incorrectly.
M’lady likes the Brooks. I agree with the second part of your statement, but when the proper time is given to fine tuning a Brooks, much of the awful stuff you hear in Brooks-breaking horror stories goes away, or at least that’s how it’s been in my experience.
