tarckee's mast-style Brompton seatpost thread

Yeah. And if that doesn’t do it even a zip tie with a dab of glue or several wraps of electrical tape sounds like it would work for your need.

I’m thinking of 0.0650" or 0.0700" wall thickness just to be on the safe side. Wall thickness on the steel steerer tube I measured was 1.55 or so mm, so 0.06102362".

Coffee or SLK merch. extra for using imperial units.

Without actually running the numbers just yet (I’m in a waiting room for my clavicle), going similar WT or just over might not be strong enough, ti has ~half the stiffness of steel for equivalent dimension and you’re size constrained so you can’t boost the OD to compensate with section modulus.

Wait, steerer tube? Naaw, what’s your seat post WT?

Seatpost wall thickness was tough to get, being round and flared, so I used a magnet of known thickness (thicker than the flare) stuck it to the post and measured a few times with my shitty digital calipers. I’m getting between 1.22mm (0.0480315") and 1.26mm (0.0496063").

Seatpost diameter is 31.8 vs. 28.6 in the steerer example.

Started building the sheet. See instagram.

Bamp. Scored a Deda 34.9 topper for <10 dollhairs. This shit is happening.
