I think the milk reference is in response to a video cervelo put out in which Thor Hushovd says that he wants his new frame to be lighter than some milk he recently bought. It was first referenced in this BSNYC post. The link to the video is broken now, but the “lighter than milk” meme has continued to be a bikesnob mainstay.
