Anyway, I’m not a Lance fanboy or anything, but I think this is great. The Tour of Georgia was about to fold, and now they’re going to be fighting off big name sponsors and will be awash in the kind of media coverage usually reserved for the big-three sports. Also, if Lance’s form is good and he proves to be a serious contender, then the 2009 TdF could actually be a fucking RACE for the first time since Ulrich and Armstong went at it. This is altogether good news for pro cycling.
Also, I’ll be really interested to see if LA becomes le patron of the peloton again.
If Tyler Hamilton can come back, Ricco can definitely come back.
