not using hydros on a flatbar is just stupid. But they’ll still stop you so I can’t be that mad about it.
They are really incredible. Whenever someone rolls in with their 10 year old Avids and needs a bleed, they are leaving with some Deore or even Altus brakes.
When I took over working on our cargo fleet at work I was blown away that we still had some mechanical out there. Probably only 4 brakes total across 6 bikes but just like wtf man. We had a wholesale account. I immediately ordered 4 sets of like m6000. $55 for a pre-bled caliper and lever, yes please.

My Gunnar Ruffian has $30 altus hyrdos. I cut the hoses and didn’t even bleed them. They feel great.
The best thing about selling Shimano brakes is that you can cut the lines and install them, without a bleed, 99% of the time.
I’m honestly so stoked on that bike. I might need to build up a clydesdale when I’m back on the bike.
