Before I build my old Novara into a CX bike I wanted to check here and see if any of y’all have something more suited to racing 'cross.
55-56cm frame or frameset wanted. Rim brake preferable.
edit: not sure how to say this but…inexpensive is gooder. Anything over $500 is definitely out.
i have a Blue CxC from like 2008. it’s carbon. it might crack any minute? i’ve been using it as a winter bike for a few years. it’s in surprisingly good shape.
i would sell it to you for like…$100, but i would feel really bad if it exploded.
Hmm might be into that for sure. Janky-but-was-once-nice is my jam.
Why would it crack at any minute -did Blue have some issues with frames?
this totally qualifies as janky-but-was-once nice.
they didn’t have any quality issues, but you’re going to get yourself a ten year old carbon frame that was raced for 6 years and ridden in frigid salt ice world for a few winters.
i have an independent fabrications planet x, though it might be 56.5cm. it’s school bus yellow. and has a small dent on the dowtube. i’d probably want $400 for the frameset and matching thompson post. can provide fotos if interested.
