Your bike is dead. Don't cry or yell at me

CC Cyclery, my favorite Manhattan shop.

Glad to know they’re guaranteed safe to ride forever though.

There were a surprising number of Shimano bootlickers pushing back on @EndpointBraden’s exchange strategy in the comments of his latest IG post:

What shop in NYC will fail these?

Try Silk Road? Personally I’d sooner spend the $15 or whatever to send them to Braden than cold call shops.

Silk Road is walking distance. Just moved so I don’t really know what’s around besides the hipster shops (Two Seas [not a Shimano dealer] and Sun & Air).

Silk Road is also closing in September so they may have nothing to lose lol.

You live between Silk Road and sun and air? Do you live in the park?

Given that now I’ll probably get my frame before I’d get replacement cranks, I’ll probably just use these for the build then try to warranty them again in the winter when I won’t want to ride something new and nice with salt on the road.

I live between Two Seas and Sun & Air. Silk Road is “walking distance” but the kind of walking distance that’s more of a bike ride.

Tbh I had never heard of two seas before right now. We should get some l’industrie next time I’m in town.

Yes, LMK.

No need to kick the man when he’s down

There is a funny joke there that six of us will be amused by. No malice intended.

I once got a used syringe stuck in my sidewall but I don’t think it was medical waste so much as discarded drug paraphernalia.
